Social Security News

April 4, 2017

The Social Security Administration announced earlier this year that they will be mailing out fewer Social Security Statements. Only people age 60 and over will receive annual statements in the mail. You should expect to receive your statement three months prior to your birthday.

If you signed up for online access, you will not receive a paper statement, regardless of your age—so watch for an email alert saying your E-Statement is ready! We encourage everyone to sign up for online access to review your earnings records for accuracy. You can sign in or create an account at www.ssa.gov/myaccount.
